On March 23, the Ventura County Chapter Juniors of the National Charity League (NCLVCJ) held its annual fundraising gala at the scenic Camarillo Airport Museum. This year’s event was themed “Ticket to Paradise” and featured tropical-inspired drinks (courtesy of Rumfish y Vino), seasonal cuisine and an ambience that suggested an island getaway. Guests kicked up their heels to live music from local band Soul Infusion, bid on fantastic prizes in the silent auction, and enjoyed the thrills of raising their placards during a live auction. The lively event served as a fundraiser for the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases (CCCBD) at the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) and for the ongoing sustainment of the Ronald McDonald Family Room on the VCMC campus. To date, NCLVCJ has raised over $2.4 million in support of the CCCBD and Ronald McDonald Family Room at VCMC.
