The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon

The American Heart Association hosted its Annual Ventura County Go Red for Women Luncheon on Feb. 21. Hundreds of participants gathered at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village to celebrate survivors of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Local resident Lisa Elbaum shared her experiences, including her discovery that she needed open heart surgery, and a panel of local health experts came together to discuss innovations in fighting cardiovascular diseases and ways people can reduce their risk. In addition, the luncheon featured a live auction and health and wellness expo. The 2020 Ventura County Go Red for Women Luncheon was sponsored nationally by CVS Health and locally sponsored by Adventist Health Simi Valley, Amgen, Corwin, UCLA Health, Rusnak BMW, Dignity Health, Manchester Financial, Gholam R. Mohammadzadeh M.D. Inc., Oakmont Senior Living, Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Copperpoint Insurance Companies and Zebra. This event raised over $300,000.
