THE COTTAGE
April 11 – May 11 | Santa Paula
The true meaning of fate, identity, and marriage are called into question as a surprising, hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculous – potentially murderous – uncharacteristically feminist, 1923 British tale of sex, betrayal, and oh yes, love. With a tip of the hat to Noël Coward and sex comedies of the past, “The Cottage” offers endless laughs, hilarious twists, daring physical comedy, and a happy ending for lovers everywhere. What could be better than a comedy of manners in the style of Oscar Wilde, inspired by the works of Noël Coward, heightened to riotous farce with a modern feminist twist. $24-$26. Santa Paula Theater Center, 125 S. South Seventh Street, Santa Paula, 805.525.4645, www.santapaulatheatercenter.org.
