Day of Giving Boutique

National Charity League, Inc., Ventura County Chapter

“A ladies’ paradise … a girls’ playground.” That was the theme of the Ventura County Chapter of the National Charity League’s annual fundraiser, held November 14 at the Ventura Beach Marriott. NCL Patronesses and Ticktockers indulged in an afternoon of shopping and scrumptious food and drink, including a lemonade ice sculpture sponsored by Limoneira. More than 24 boutiques were represented, offering apparel, jewelry, flowers, gifts, gourmet food, and accessories. The event was hosted by Patronesses Amy Towner, Dawn Golden, and Lori Swanson, and was attended by approximately 100 NCL members, their daughters, and members of the community. Proceeds from the event will benefit local Ventura County philanthropies. The National Charity League is a philanthropic, educational, cultural, and social organization for mothers and their daughters in 7th through 12th grades. The Ventura County Chapter has about 100 members, who last year provided more than 10,000 hours of volunteer service at philanthropies throughout Ventura County and donated $19,000 to select philanthropies.
