On March 20 at the historic Limoneira headquarters in Santa Paula, the National Charity League (N.C.L.) Juniors of Ventura County hosted their annual gala fundraiser. Proceeds from “Spanish Nights” benefitted the Children’s Cancer and Blood Diseases program, a joint venture between The Children's Center for Cancer & Blood Diseases, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and Ventura County Medical Center. The night started with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while guests placed bids in a silent auction, and culminated with dinner, a live auction, and entertainment. Organized in 1959 and chartered in 1960, the Ventura Chapter of National Charity League, Inc., a nonprofit organization known as the “Original Mother-Daughter Charity,” consists of mothers and daughters working together on social, cultural, and philanthropic endeavors to enrich the community.
