egarded the region’s best cultural event, the annual Casa Pacifica Angels Wine & Food Festival, now in its sixteenth year, raises money to assist abused, neglected, or at-risk children in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. This year’s event took place Sunday, June 7, at the beautiful California State University Channel Islands campus in Camarillo. Thousands of participants enjoyed food and drinks from some of the best restaurants, caterers, wineries, and microbreweries between Santa Barbara and Thousand Oaks. This year’s event raised over $220,000. Headquartered adjacent to the CSUCI campus, Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families is the largest nonprofit provider of children’s mental health services in both Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, and administers a number of community-based programs designed to strengthen families and keep children in their homes.
