he Four Friends Gallery held its opening reception for the Open Intake photography series on Saturday, March 11. The exhibit featured more than 35 local professional artists, and the opening also served as the premiere event for the gallery’s new role as a center for the arts. In addition to the fine art exhibited on its walls, the gallery hosts live music concerts through Brogden Bay Presents and workshops and classes offered by Gold Coast Theatre Conservatory. Also on tap at Four Friends in the coming months: Salon Series lectures, live theater from Gold Coast Plays, photography workshops and more. “This gallery is a dream and it’s coming true!” said Larry Janss, the gallery’s founder. “Indeed, our artistic community has responded enthusiastically.”
